Set up the Notion databases
Each workflow writes to one Notion database. The kit page lists every property and its type. Create the database, connect it to n8n, and map the fields.
1. Create the database
In Notion, add a full-page database and create each property from the kit's table, with the same name and type. For select properties, add the options listed (for example New, Welcomed, Active, Refunded). Stack buyers skip this step: the Stack includes a workspace you duplicate in one click.
2. Create a Notion integration
- Go to Notion's integrations page (Settings, then Connections, then Develop or manage integrations).
- Create an internal integration and copy its secret.
- In n8n, create a Notion credential and paste the secret.
3. Share the database with the integration
Open the database, open the ... menu, choose Connections and add your integration. Without this step, n8n can't see the database.
4. Map the properties in n8n
Open each Notion node, choose your database, and map each property to the incoming data. The sticky note in each workflow lists the fields that usually need attention.
5. Test
Run the workflow with a test event and check that the row appears with every property filled in. Empty properties almost always mean a mapping expression points at the wrong field. Open the previous node's output to see the real field names.
Questions
n8n can't find my database. Why?
The database hasn't been shared with your integration. Open the database in Notion, choose the menu, then Connections, and add your integration.
Can I rename properties?
Yes, but rename them in the n8n Notion node mapping too. Select options must match exactly, including capital letters.
Do I need a paid Notion plan?
No. The free plan supports integrations and the databases these workflows use.
